Well, well.... think Willie Taggart being from Manatee High had much to do with this?
Big, four-star defensive tackle Derrick Calloway flipped his commitment from Louisville to USF as confirmed to the Tampa Bay Times on Sunday night.
Calloway was the star defeensive player for Manatee, which was ranked No. 1 in the country for much of the past season. Naturally new USF head coach Taggart, being a former Manatee star himself, had something to do with it.
But interestingly Manatee assistant Steve Gulash told the Times that Calloway was more taken by Taggart's enthusiastic recruitment as opposed to an allegiance to his alma mater.
