As first reported by 620 WDAE's Steve Duemig, the University Of South Florida will hire former USF player and Palmetto native Willie Taggart as their next head football coach. The Bulls have called for a 4pm press conference on Saturday to announce the hire.
Friday night, Steve Duemig was first to report according to a source that the official announcement would come on Saturday as USF flew out Friday evening to bring Taggart to Tampa.

The 36 year old Taggart will be taking over a USF program which finished in last place in each of the last two seasons. USF fired Skip Holtz as their head coach Sunday after three years at the helm.
