Now that starting quarterback B.J. Daniels will most likely be out for the remainder of the regular season, the Bulls will have to find his replacement which is easier said than done.

Coach Holtz thinks that there should be an open competition for the spot, even though Matt Floyd is in the backup role. He feels that junior Bobby Eveld should get a fair shot at starting against Miami after the layoff. Eveld was planning on redshirting after this season and wait until next year to get his chance to start.

This would not be the first time Eveld sees action against the Hurricanes, he came into the game in 2010 for an injured B.J. Daniels andled them to a win, and got a start last year in a narrow loss.
