The USF men's basketball team turned in a solid performance in their exhibition aganst Eckerd College.
The Bulls showed glimpses of their new look offense against Eckerd. They had a quicker pace that fans from last season may not be accustomed to seeing. This was more impressive due to the fact that both of their point guards were not at full strength. Starter Anthony Collins who was suffering from a calf strain put in eight points and dished out four assists, while backup point guard Martino Brock contributed six points and nine assists.
Heath said of Brock's performance,"If we can get that kind of production from a backup point, that's encouraging. That's an area where we weren't strong at last year,"
The team was also helped by fowards Victor Rudd and Toarlyn Fitzpatrick who scored 14 and 13 points respectively, and guards Javontae Hawkins who put in 13 points and Jawanza Poland who added 10 points.
