USF's basketball team's planned starting center is no longer part of the program.

Just a few days before school began, 6-10 center Waverly Austin was declared academically ineligible by USF.

It leaves the Bulls scrambling at a position that was filled so well by Ron Anderson Jr. and Augustus Gilchrist last season.
