A name, if not player, that could be familiar to Bay Area football fans has joined the Tampa Bay Storm.

The Storm on Friday announced that offensive lineman Nevin McCaskill has joined the team. He is the brother of Kevin and Keith, twins who both played for USF.

“Nevin is a guy that brings a lot of grit and size to the position,” said head coach Dave Ewart.  “He has experience the will help us out, we look forward to seeing his leadership in camp.”

McCaskill (6-foot-4, 315 lbs., Hampton) began his football career with the Buffalo Bills in 2007 as an undrafted rookie free agent.  From that time up to the beginning of the 2012 National Football League season he has spent time on either the active roster or practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins. In college, he appeared in 46 games with the Pirates with 36 starts and earned All- MEAC honors his junior and senior seasons.
