Florida State scored a miracle goal to force overtime Friday night, but then lost to Penn State 2-1 in overtime in the national semifinals of the Division I women's soccer tournament. It will be Penn State's first ever appearance in the College Cup final.
Penn State's Christine Nairn, who appeared to be in an offsides position receiving the ball just five yards in front of the net, tapped in the game ender barely a minute into OT period.
With only 44 seconds left in regulation the Noles tied it on Tiffany McCarty's header, a perfectly angled shot that slid inside the left post.
