UPDATE: Pinellas deputies say 52 year old Ana Garcia Gutierrez called dispatchers and identified herself as the woman in the photo. Deputies went to her home and talked to her. Charges are up to the State Attorney's Office.

TAMPA, Fl (970 WFLA)-The Pinellas County Sheriffs Office is asking for the public's help identifying the woman in the pictures climbing on top of the manatee this past weekend at Ft. Desoto.

Reports say this all happened around 1pm Sunday afternoon, just north of the Gulf pier.

Whitnesses in the area were able to give officers a good description along with the pictures of the suspect and where she was last seen.

The woman is wanted for violating the state Manatee Sancturary Act which states that it is unlawful for any person, at any time by any means or in any manner, to annoy, molest, harass or disturb a manatee. Breaking the law is a 2nd degree misdemeanor.
