Tampa Bay Rays faithful will be happy to hear that Dave Martinez, the team's bench coach for the last four seasons will be staying put.

Martinez was interviewed by the Houson Astros earlier in the month for their managerial position, but the job was given to Bo Porter according to reports from Fox Sports.  

Martinez was confident in his chances of getting the job telling reporters " It went really well, It's a great oppurtunity for me. I met some really nice people. It's a great organization."

This is not the first time Martinez has interviewed for a manager position. He has had interviews with Cleveland, Toronto and was also a candidate for Chicago White Sox.
