David Price told Ron and Ian he is good to go for his start Friday in New York, after Price had his last scheduled outing skipped due to shoulder soreness.
The Rays' lefty joined the show live Thursday morning from Baltimore.
"I've never had a shoulder problem, it was something I'd never experienced before," he said. "So it was something I wanted to make sure I treated the right way. Missing one start was good for me, something that I needed. It stinks that is has to be in September and the magnitude of the games we're playing right now."
Price said "I feel good now" and that he's fully prepared to go against the Yankees, who enter Thursday tied with the Orioles atop the AL East. Tampa Bay is behind both teams by three games.
During the conversation Price got into the team's mindset heading into the final three weeks of the season. He said he likes the position the Rays are in, having games left against the teams ahead of them in the standings.
