Matthias Ohlund's chronically bad knees may end his hockey career.
Ohlund admitted as such in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times (viewable in full HERE) that was posted Monday.
"I'm not even close to skating," Ohlund said, adding that his normal life is fine but as far hockey goes "I'm not close to where I want to be."
The defender signed a big four-year deal two offseasons ago and thanks to knee injuries has been a bad investment. He had surgery last year and did not play. The Lightning still owes him $11.75 million.
