Forbes magazine's annual report on NHL team values was released on Wednesday, the Lightning lost $13.1 million last season, even though they tied a franchise record with $88 million in operating income.
The most valuable team was the Toronto Maple Leafs, $1 billion, and also led with $81.9 million profit.
The Lightning was 23rd in the NHL with $174 million. They hold the same ranking as they did in 2011
The Lightning had two of the top ten highest paid players in the league. Steven Stamkos at No. 5 (8.3 million) and Vinny Lecavalier at No. 8 ($7.9 million).
