The National Hockey League Thursday cancelled the remainder of the 2012 preseason.

The League and NHLPA are still without a collective bargaining agreement, and players have been locked out since September 16.

The two sides are expected to meet again Friday to try and prevent regular season games, which begin October 11, from being cancelled.
