The 2012-2013 NHL season maybe in jeopardy, but that is not stopping the Tampa Bay Lightning from practicing. The Lightning have been working out at their normal practice facility the Ice Sports Forum, the only difference is that the players need to pay to practice. The Ice Forum charged $350 per hour to do so which is the standard price for any one to rent a skating rink.
With the lockout, players will have to pay for ice time without the NHL's financing.
W Marty St. Louis told the Tampa Bay Times "We're just staying prepared for whatever, whether it's the NHL or Europe, You've got to do that. You can't just take a couple of weeks off. http://www.tampabay.com/sports/hockey/lightning/with-nhl-lockout-underway-tampa-bay-lightning-players-pay-for-ice-time/1252046
