There was no time between big doses of bad news for Gators fans Wednesday.
Not long after Florida lost to Louisville in the Sugar Bowl, standout defenders Sharrif Floyd and Mattt Elam said they were skipping their senior seasons.
Floyd, a defensive tackle, had 13 tackles for loss while Elam (5-10, 202) was an All-American safety known for his hard hitting.
"I had three gear years. I did all I can for the team... now it's time to take care of my family," Elam said.
