It was just another day in “The Swamp” for the Florida Gators as they shut out Jacksonville State 23-0 to wrap up their third undefeated home schedule in school history.  Jacoby Brissett got the start for the Gators and played exceptionally well finishing with 154 yards passing completeing fourteen of twenty two attempts.

Mike Gillislee finished with 122 yards rushing on 19 carries with one touchdown.  Gillislee is now 32 yards shy of a 1,000 yard rushing season which would be the first for a Gators’ running back since Ciatrick Fason in 2004.

Jordan Reed led the Gators with 42 yards receiving, and Jon Bostic accounted for the Gators other touchdown as he intercepted Gamecocks’ quarterback Marques Ivory for a seven yard interception return for a touchdown.

The Gators outgained the Gamecocks 356-242, but outgained them on the ground 202-48. 

The Gators will now prepare for their annual match up with Florida State next Saturday.
