Florida Gator head football coach Will Muschamp spoke to the WDAE morning show Wednesday, discussing with Tom Jones and Rick Stroud his team's quarterback situation among other things.
Gator fans hoping for a definitive answer on to who will be taking the first snap in a couple of Saturdays, did not get it. Weather has prevented that to some degree.
"They're both very even right now. We're still working through that process," said Muschamp, mentioning a planned scrimmage Tuesday was wiped out due to downpouring of rain mixed with lightning.
So Muschamp said Jeff Driskell and Jacoby Brissett's next chance to to battle it out comes Thursday night, if weather holds.
"Both of those guys are in our top 11 players on offense,I do know that. They both deserve to play," Muschamp said, adding that he'll probably make a decision on Monday.
Muschamp also had praise for two of his running backs with Bay Area ties, Armwood's Matt Jones and Tampa Catholic's Hunter Joyer. And he shared what role he had in Jeff Demps signing with the Patriots.
