Gators radio analyst Lee McGriff joined the Sports Page Thursday morning to preview the fast-approaching season.  McGriff said that following a 7-6 season in head coach Will Muschamp's first year, he expects the Gators be be better.

"I really think the Gators are going to be better.  I don't think it will be a shazzam like when Spurrier showed up years ago, but I think this team is getting better."

The biggest headline coming out of practice is the competition at quarterback.  Jeff Driskell seems to have the upper hand on fellow sophomore jacoby Brissett.  Even though Driskell has suffered a bruised shoulder in practice which is keeping him out of contact drills, McGriff believes he sees something truly special in Driskell.

"He's got a very live arm, but he runs.  He can run, he runs fast.  He's faster than Tim Tebow.  He's as big as Tebow at that stage in his life, and he's faster."

McGriff thinks this is a pretty important season for head coach Will Muschamp, and was not sure yet who will end up starting the first game at quarterback for the Gators.
