According to several reports, sophomore QB Jeff Driskell has injured his non-throwing shoulder during practice in Gainesville.
Frankie Frangie of 1010XL 92.5 FM in Jacksonville reported Driskell suffered a broken scapula (shoulder blade) on his non-throwing shoulder.
Following practice however, head coach Will Muschamp said nothing of Driskell's reported injury.
"Jeff was at practice today and will be taking reps at practice Wednesday."
USA Today spoke to Driskel’s mother, who confirmed that he did injure his left shoulder during drills Sunday and did not practice on Monday or Tuesday but was expected to return on Wednesday.
UF officials stated Muschamp would address team injuries during his next scheduled media availability, which is Friday.
Driskell has been involved in a highly contested QB race with fellow sophomore QB Jacoby Brissett. The two combined last year for two touchdowns and six interceptions.
More details as they continue to come in
