The Buccaneers have named John McNulty as their new quarterbacks coach. McNulty spent the last four seasons as an offensive assistant with the Cardinals. McNulty became available after head coach Ken Whisenhunt was fired. The Bucs tried to hire McNulty as an offensive coordinator last winter when Greg Schiano took the job but they were denied by the Cardinals. McNulty worked with Schiano at Rutgers and takes over for Ron Turner, who left his post to become the new head coach of Florida International.
The Bucs also say that Randy Melvin will remain as defensive line coach and Mike Sullivan will return as the team's offensive coordinator.
GM Mark Dominik says the team will hire a new defensive backs and receivers coach in the next week.
