The Buccaneers have promoted DE Aaron Morgan to the 53-man roster from the team's practice squad and waived DE George Johnson.
Morgan (6-4, 250) played in seven games with the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining the Buccaneers' practice squad in Week 6 of the 2012 season. Morgan originally entered the league in 2010 with Jacksonville as a college free agent from the University of Louisiana-Monroe and played in seven games during his rookie season.
A four-year letterman at Louisiana-Monroe, Morgan finished his collegiate career with 22 sacks, the most in school history and the second-most in Sun Belt Conference history. Morgan added 138 tackles, 39.5 tackles for loss, one interception and eight passes defensed.
Johnson has appeared in five games for the Buccaneers this season, recording five assisted tackles.
