UPDATE 4:50 pm -- The details have come out on the deal.  Tampa Bay has traded Talib and a seventh-round draft pick in 2013 to New England in exchange for the Patriots fourth-round selection in 2013.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced they have traded CB Aqib Talib to the New England Patriots at the trade deadline.

Talib, a first-round pick by the Bucs in 2008, recorded 179 tackles and had 18 interceptions in his career.  He missed the last three games for Tampa Bay after being suspended for four games for violating the league's policy on Performance Enhancing Drugs.

New England is on their bye this week, and Talib will not be reinstated until after their next game, which is November 11 against Buffalo.
