Former NFL player and current NFL Network analyst Jamie Dukes says Aqib Talib will always cause some sort of issue for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dukes, who played from 1986-1995 in the NFL, says when it comes to players like Talib he always references a saying by his wife which he shared with 620WDAE’s “Sports Page.”
“My wife has a saying, and if you think about this as simple as this is it holds true. Messy on the way in, messy on the way out” said Dukes.
Dukes used that saying when he compared Talib’s numerous issues with the Buccaneers to other players around the league including Chad Johnson and Dez Bryant.
“There’s always something. The point is he’s just one of those guys. There’s always going to be something” Dukes stated.
Dukes went on to say that Talib’s issues will not affect his relationship with his teammates, but could cause issues with the Buccaneers management. Talib currently is serving a four game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
“It’s an organizational thing” said Dukes. “When does the coach, the GM say you know I’ve had enough.”
Jamie Dukes has been an analyst on the NFL Network since 2006.
