NFL Network analyst Charley Casserly tells 620WDAE “Sports Page” with Tom Jones and Rick Stroud that the Buccaneers response to the suspension of CB Aqib Talib was indeed the correct one.

“I think what Schiano did was wipe the slate clean with everybody” said Casserly, a former general manager for both the Washington Redskins and Houston Texans.

“I think when Greg Sciano came in,  he’s obviously has a program and philosophy on how he wants things done.   I think the players that have bought into it are still there.”

Casserly believes that Talib has indeed bought into Head Coach Schiano’s program.  He also referenced back to his time as a GM in the NFL on how he would have handled a situation like this.

“You make a decision whether to bring in a player or not. If  I had questions on players, we wouldn’t bring them in.  I don’t care how good they were” said Casserly.

“Eventually if you get to a point where if they become so much of a disruption to your program, then you got to get rid of them.”

Talib did not file an appeal of his four game suspension, and is slated to return on November 11th when the Buccaneers host the San Diego Chargers.
