The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have placed CB Anthony Gaitor on Injured Reserve/Designated For Return and promoted LB Jacob Cutrera to the 53-man roster from the team's practice squad.
Cutrera has played in 16 career games over the last two seasons, including eight with the Buccaneers in 2011. A strong special teams contributor, Cutrera has recorded nine special teams tackles in his career. He originally entered the league in 2010 as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The team also announced that they have signed CB LeQuan Lewis and DE Aaron Morgan to the team's practice squad.
Lewis started the season on the Dallas Cowboys active roster and saw action against the Buccaneers in the team's Week 3 loss. He recorded one tackle and had a pass deflection in limited action. He was drafted in 2010 out of Arizona State after playing there for two seasons after transferring from junior college.
Morgan, a defensive end and outside linebacker, finished his senior season at Louisiana-Monroe as the Sun Belt conference leader in sacks with 9.0 in 2009. He was also 16th in the NCAA with 17.0 tackles for a loss during that final season.
