News & Notes:
- Bucs coach Greg Schiano says LeGarrette Blount will be more involved in the running game moving forward. Schiano wouldn’t commit to a 50-50 split of the carries with Doug Martin. He says that will be determined “by feel”. Blount says he’s ready to contribute. “I’m just waiting my turn. Hopefully, I can get more carries and more opportunities.”
- Redskins QB Robert Griffin III has been impressed with the Bucs defense: “They’re extremely fast, they’re young and they play hard”.
- New Bucs punt returner Roscoe Parrish practiced on Wednesday and will return punts on Sunday. He says he got the call on Monday to come to Tampa.
- The Bucs make another roster move today. They sign DE Jeff Charleston, who has spent time with the Saints and Colts. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Texans back in 2006 from Idaho State. The 6-4, 260 pound Charleston has 8 sacks in 65 career games.
