The Buccaneers have signed PR/WR Roscoe Parrish and waived WR Jordan Shipley.
Parrish is entering his eighth season in the NFL after spending the previous seven with the Buffalo Bills. Over the course of his career, Parrish has played in 77 games with 14 starts, making his mark on special teams with 135 punt returns for 1,622 yards and three scores, as well as 29 kickoff returns for 685 yards. His 12.0 career punt return average ranks second in the NFL behind only Chicago's WR Devin Hester (12.8) since 2005, and is currently the seventh-best average in NFL history (minimum 75 returns). He has also recorded 134 pass receptions for 1,502 yards and seven touchdowns.
Parrish became the first player in NFL history to return punts for scores in back-to-back Kickoff Weekend games (2007-08) and also led the NFL in punt return average during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Parrish was originally selected in the second round (55th overall) by the Bills in the 2005 NFL Draft out of the University of Miami.
