Bucs Get Down To 53

By Tom Krasniqi

The decisions were tough.  Some were surprising.   But at the end of the day, Greg Schiano and GM Mark Dominik trimmed Tampa Bay’s roster down to 53.  Here’s a list of the cuts:

RELEASED

DT Frank Okam and DT Amobi Okoye (injury settlement)

WAIVED

S Larry Asante, S Sean Baker, WR Landon Cox, LB Rennie Curran, LB Jacob Cutrera, TE Drake Dunsmore, K Kai Forbath, T Jermarcus Hardrick, RB Robert Hughes, FB Cody Johnson, RB Mossis Madu, DT Jordan Nix, C Moe Petrus, TE Zack Pianalto, QB Brett Ratliff, CB James Rogers, WR Jordan Shipley, WR Tiquan Underwood, DT Teryl White, DL E.J. Wilson, G Desmond Wynn (injured).

Underwood was a surprise cut considering how well he performed during training camp.  Ratliff being cut means the Bucs will go with two QBs on the roster for now.  Keep in mind the 53-man roster is subject to change.  You may see players added and even trades.  Stay tuned.
