Kevin Harlan, a broadcaster for the NFL on CBS, NFL on Westwood One and the NBA on TNT, was a guest on the Sports Page, with Tom Jones and Rick Stroud, on Friday.  Harlan gave his perspective on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; furthermore, he had some kind words for new head coach Greg Schiano.

"I'm very high on Greg Schiano," Harlan said on WDAE.  "This is a perfect choice for that organization [the Bucs].

"I believe he's a pro coach.  He ran the Rutgers program as a pro program," Harlan said.  "They were on the same kind of clock, same kind of schedule, same kind of teaching elements were installed.  I just think that Schiano was as sought after a college coach as there was and comes to Tampa at the perfect time."

Meanwhile, Harlan said when Chip Kelly was thought to be the new Bucs head coach, it did not resonate well, for some reason.  However, the feeling was different when Schiano became the boss of the Buccaneers.

"When it was Schiano that came in, I think they said aahh now you got it right," Harlan said.  "That was nationally what the feeling was when they [Bucs] hired him."
