After months of discussions, the USGA has made a decision on the so called "Belly Putter". Starting January 1st, 2016, professional and amateur golfers will no longer be able to legally use anchor putters in their game. The new rule will no longer allow players who use long putters, to hold the butt end of the club against their bodies. In recent golf history, 4 of the last 6 major champions used a long putter, including last month's Masters champ Adam Scott. Young players around the world are starting to pick it up, like 14 year old Guan Tianlang of China, who made his debut at last month's Masters. There has been a growing stigma of the long putter. Some would say it's better way to putt, if so does it make it easier?
