It’s been a rough start to head coach Willie Taggart’s tenure at the University of South Florida. A 0-3 start to the season which started with a blowout loss in his home debut to McNeese State, plus a sub par effort against Florida Atlantic has made some question if Taggart was the right choice for the job to begin with.
With all the hardships of being a head coach with players he did not recruit and consistent problems on both side of the football, Taggart told WDAE’s “The Sports Page” that he’s still having fun as the head of USF Football.
“I am enjoying it but don’t get me wrong, I want to win” said Taggart. “I’m disappointed we haven’t won yet and some of the games we lost we all anticipated to win. I do know we have a better football team than what we’re showing and I know it’s going to get better.”
USF is 0-3 to start a football season for the first time in school history and will host Miami (FL) on Saturday afternoon.
