Too bad the Seminoles didn't show as much fight during the game as they did after.
Florida State lost at Virginia 62-50 in a game that was not nearly as close as that final score might suggest. The Cavaliers have handed the Noles (12-5, 3-2) both of their ACC defeats.
Virginia (13-5, 4-1) led by as many as 21 and the Noles never got closer than the final margin. And that was due to a technical foul when Virginia's Justin Anderson hung on the rim after a dunk.
That led to some exchanging of words, which continued when the teams were heading to the locker room. Coaches got involved to control the situation.
Joe Harris, who missed most of the game in Tallahassee due to a concussion, scored a healthy 18 points to lead UVA.
It was 45-26 at halftime as Virginia made 55 per cent of its shots.
Aaron Thomas and Okaro White scored 15 each lead for FSU, which turned over the ball 18 times.
