The Chicago White Sox (5-22) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (13-15) 8-7 in ten innings on Saturday evening. The last-place White Sox now have won a series for the first time this season.
A back and forth game saw the Rays and White Sox tied 6-6 after nine innings. The Rays got one in the top of the tenth thanks to a wild pitch, before Andrew Benintendi hit a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the tenth to win the game. For Benintendi, it was his second home run of the night.
