The Florida Panthers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-3 on Thursday night and have taken a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven first round playoff series.
Matthew Tkachuk scored twice to lead Florida, while Tampa Bay got goals from Steven Stamkos, Tyler Motte and Nick Paul in the losing effort.
The Lightning now look to avoid being swept by the Panthers in game four of the series on Saturday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:00 PM at Amalie Arena on Saturday.
