Thursday was a big day at Tropicana Field, as Ron got the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game between the Rays and Kansas City Royals.
Prior to the game, he got to meet his latest man-crush on the team, infielder Daniel Robertson.
Robertson did mention that for Ron, the Rays would need to go back to the vest-style of uniforms in order to show off the guns!
Ron didn't have just anyone to throw to Thursday. He got to throw to his friend and rays pitching coach Jim Hickey!
Even the great Dick Crippen made a point to be there for the throw.
