Notes:The Official World Golf Ranking which is endorsed by the four MajorChampionships and the six professional tours which make up the InternationalFederation of PGA Tours is issued every Monday following completion of theprevious week's tournaments from around the world.

The official events fromthe six professional tours together with the Canadian, Nationwide and EuropeanChallenge Tours are all taken into account and points are awarded according tothe players' finishing positions and are generally related to the strength ofthe field based on the number and ranking of the Top-200 World Ranked playersand the Top-30 of the Home Tour players in the respective tournaments (Event"Ratings").

However the four Major Championships are rated separately toreflect the higher quality of the events together with the PlayersChampionship in the United States.

In addition, the BMW Championship inEurope, the Australian, Japan and South African Open Championships and theFlagship events on the Asian and Nationwide Tours are allocated higher minimumpoints levels to reflect their status.

The World Ranking points for eachplayer are accumulated over a two year "rolling" period with the pointsawarded for each tournament maintained for a 13-week period to placeadditional emphasis on recent performances - ranking points are then reducedin equal decrements for the remaining 91 weeks of the two year Ranking period. Each player is then ranked according to his average points per tournamentwhich is determined by dividing his total number of points by the number oftournaments he has played over that two-year period.

There is a minimumdivisor of 40 tournaments over the two year ranking period.

The winners of theMasters Tournament, the U.S.

Open Championship, the Open Championship and thePGA Championship are awarded 100 points (60 points for 2nd place 40 for 3rd 30for 4th down to 1.50 points for a player completing the final round) and thewinner of the Players Championship is awarded 80 points (points are awardeddown to 1.20 points for 60th place and ties).

The BMW Championship has aminimum 64 points for the winner (points to 56th place).

Minimum points levelsfor the winners of official Tour events have been set at 6 points for theCanadian Tour (points to 6th place), 12 points for the European Challenge Tour(points to 14th place), 14 points for the Asian Sunshine and Nationwide Tours(points to 17th place), 16 points for Australasian and Japanese Tours (pointsto 19th place) and 24 points for European and the United States Tours (pointsto 27th place).

In addition, the Open Championships of Australia Japan andSouth Africa have a minimum of 32 points for the winner (points to 37th place)and the Flagship events on the Asian and Nationwide Tours have a minimum of 20points for the winner (points to 22nd place).

In the cases of co-sanctionedTour events, the minimum points levels are determined using the "average" ofthe minimum Tour ranking points from each Tour (rounded up to nearest wholenumber).

Points are reduced by 25% for tournaments curtailed to 36 holesbecause of inclement weather or other reasons.

Notes: The PGA Tour travels to the Lone Star State for one of the most storied eventson the PGA Tour, as players begin gearing up for the U.S.

Open Championship infour weeks.

Seven of the top-22 players in the world and the last four winnersof this tournament are expected to compete.

The highest-ranked player in thefield is Matt Kuchar at No.

5 in the world.

He is joined by PhilMickelson (10), 2008 champion Adam Scott (13), Louis Oosthuizen (14), 2010champion Jason Day (16), Jason Dufner (21) and defending champion KeeganBradley (22).Kuchar is coming off the biggest win of his career last week at The PlayersChampionship.

He has made 17 cuts in a row dating back to July of last year, the longest current streak on the PGA Tour.

Kuchar's five top-10 finishes in2012 leads the PGA Tour and his current world ranking of five is the highestof his career.

Mickelson, the 1996 champion, is playing here for the firsttime since 2007, when he finished tied for third. The ninth-oldest tournament on tour -- not including the majors -- the HPByron Nelson Championship is one of only two events named for a player.

Theother event is the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which was known as the Bay HillInvitational until 2007.

Nelson has had his name attached to this tournamentsince 1968.

This will be the sixth staging of the event since Nelson passedaway at the age of 94 in September of 2006.This week, Bradley will try to become the first player since Tom Watson in1978-80 to successfully defend his title at this event.

Only Watson, Sam Sneadand Jack Nicklaus have won consecutive titles, with Watson winning three in arow.Last year, Bradley parred the first playoff hole to defeat Ryan Palmer andearn his first PGA Tour title.

He became the first rookie to win thistournament.

Bradley shot rounds of 66-71-72-68 to get in at three-under-par277.

Palmer rolled in a six-foot birdie putt on the final hole of regulationto force the playoff.

Palmer's birdie on the 18th at the TPC-Four SeasonsResort Las Colinas was one of just two on that hole in the final round.Bradley would go on to win the PGA Championship last year in his firstappearance in a major and was named the 2011 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.Bradley's three-under-par total was the highest winning score in relation topar since Bruce Lietzke's one-over-par total in 1981.

It was the highest in anon-major since David Duval's three-under winning score at the 1999 PlayersChampionship. In 2010, Jason Day got up and down for bogey on the 18th hole after hittinghis ball in the water, and that was good enough to give him the win by twoshots over Brian Gay, Blake Adams and Jeff Overton.

Day fired rounds of66-65-67-72 and ended at 10-under-par 270 to earn his first victory on the PGATour. In 2009, Rory Sabbatini grabbed the lead for good with a birdie on the 11thhole in the final round, but needed four more birdies to secure his win.Sabbatini closed with a six-under 64 to finish with a 72-hole scoring recordof 19-under-par 261.

He bested the old mark of 262, which Loren Roberts andSteve Pate set in 1999.

The win was Sabbatini's fifth on the PGA Tour.

Withthe victory, Sabbatini became the 14th person to have won Nelson's and BenHogan's (Colonial) tournaments.

His final-round, six-under 64 was the lowestfinal round by a winner at this event since Peter Thomson fired a 63 in 1956.In one of the most emotional victories on tour, Scott Verplank captured the2007 tournament, as he fashioned four sub-70 scores to clip Luke Donald by ashot.

The Dallas resident, who had strong ties to the late tournament host, overcame a three-shot deficit during the final day to claim his fifth careerwin.

The victory came in his 21st appearance at the tournament, the moststarts by a winner claiming his first Byron Nelson Championship.

Verplank isthe all-time career earnings leader at this event with $2,535,988.Verplank became the sixth player over the age of 40 to win here, joining SamSnead (1957-58), Roberto de Vicenzo (1966), John Cook (1998), Roberts (1999)and Vijay Singh (2003).Previous winners of this prestigious event include: Snead, Nicklaus, Watson,Ben Crenshaw, Payne Stewart, Nick Price, Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Mickelson,Tiger Woods, Singh and Sergio Garcia.

International players have had greatsuccess the past several years, winning six times in the last 10 seasons.Woods missed the cut at the 2005 event.

It marked the first time he missed acut on the PGA Tour since he withdrew from the 1998 AT&T Pebble Beach NationalPro-Am, ending his PGA Tour record of 142 consecutive events in the money.

Innine appearances at this tournament, Woods has six top-five finishes, including a win in 1997.Byron Nelson won the first Nelson Championship in 1944 and went on to win theseason-long money title.
