BRANDON, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Hillsborough County deputies say the suspect involved in a hit and run last month has turned herself in to authorities.

Deputies say 45-year-old Cheryl Denine Brown turned herself into Hillsborough detectives Thursday and is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries driving while license suspended or revoked with serious injuries.

On May 15, 2014, deputies say two victims riding a motorcycle were heading south on Bell Shoals Road when the suspect’s SUV turned left into the Walmart parking lot in front of the motorcycle, according to deputies. Officials say motorcyclist couldn’t stop and hit the left front end of the SUV and that’s when they say the SUV fled the scene.

Both people on the motorcycle were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
